Exotic weapons are a major part of character progression in Destiny 2. Some are useful because of their unique perks, while others become important pieces of specific PvE or PvP builds. The problem is that getting the weapon you actually want can sometimes involve much more work than expected.
The first step is to avoid farming Exotics without a clear purpose. Before spending hours on an activity, decide which weapon fits your current build and where you plan to use it. A weapon that performs extremely well during a raid boss encounter may have limited value in Crucible, while an Exotic designed around add clearing might not be the best choice for single-target damage.
It is also worth looking at the complete progression path. Obtaining the weapon itself may only be the beginning. Some Exotics have catalysts or additional requirements that need to be completed before you can take full advantage of them. When several weapons are on your list, prioritizing one at a time makes the process much easier to manage.
The real obstacle for many Guardians is simply time. Destiny 2 contains enough activities that chasing one particular reward can consume gaming sessions that could otherwise be spent on raids, dungeons, PvP, or playing with friends. If a specific piece of equipment is holding back your progression, Dving.net is one place to look at available Destiny 2 assistance, including different gear and activity-related options.
There is still plenty of satisfaction in earning a difficult Exotic yourself, so faster progression isn't necessarily the right choice for everyone. But whether you farm everything personally or get help with a particular objective, having a clear target is what matters. Collecting every Exotic just to fill the vault is one thing; obtaining the weapons that genuinely improve the way you play is much more useful. |
